Exhibition News!
Our National Exhibition just closed last Friday! We had 45 quilts on display from branches all across the country on the theme of Evolution. Congratulations to Lena Pugachova from the Eastern Branch whose quilt, "Fallen by the Wayside", was voted Viewers choice!
Second in the voting was Imelda O'Grady from the Mid-West Branch with "My Theory of Evolution" and third also from the Mid West Branch was Cecilia O'Doherty, "A Brief History".
To see photographs of the quilts exhibited please visit the Mid West Branch Archive on Flickr here. Thank you very much to our Mid-West Branch for all the work involved in hosting the exhibition and the opening night. For photographs of the opening night please visit the Mid-West Branch blog page or group page on Facebook.
Erin, from the Southern Branch, has put together a slide show of the Evolution Exhibit in addition to the Distance EQA exhibit that was shown at the same time in the Limerick School of Art and Design. Click here to visit the Southern Branch Blog page to see the slide shows.
Thank you to Paula Rafferty and Loretta O'Brien for sharing the Distance exhibit with us. A final thank you to all those who participated and made quilts for the exhibition. It was a wonderful and varied exhibit. Congratulations to all!
