Hungarian Modern Movement Quilt Exhibition in Galway

This year the Western Branch of the IPS hosted the National AGM for the Society in the Salthill Hotel on October 17th
As part of the event they have invited the MOMU to bring their current exhibition “Signs” to Galway.

The Hungarian quilts will be on display in the Galway Civic Trust, at the Hall of the Red Earl, Druid’s Lane from:

Monday October 19th until October 31st.

The Opening Times of the Galway Civic Trust are:

Monday – Friday:      9am – 5pm

Saturday:                    11am- 3pm



Sunday & Bank Holidays CLOSED

Western Branch Exhibition "Summer Colours"

The IPS Western Branch will be holding a branch exhibition "Summer Colours" from Friday 5th - Thursday 11th of June in the foyer of the Orbsen Building, NUIG, Galway.

The venue is open daily from 9am to 6pm. Admission free

New Beginnings Art Exhibition

Western Branch members Ester Kiely and Colette O'Donnell are amongst a group of artists who will holding an art exhibition at Cruthu Studios, Claregalway, Co. Galway. 

The exhibition runs from Sunday 23rd November to Saturday 6th December.

Western Branch of the IPS on Countrywide Radio Programme!

Several members of the Western Branch of the IPS have been interviewed for the Countrywide radio program on RTE radio.  

Be sure to tune in on Saturday morning to hear the interview!  It will air from 8:10-9:00AM on Saturday the 9th of June.

Western Branch "Branching Out" Exhibition - early closure

The Western Branch are currently holding their "Branching Out" Exhibition in Galway City Museum. The exhibition was meant to run until the 30th April, but has now had to close at short notice due to renovations at the museum.


Joan Colleran made this great piece "30 Years a Growing" which shows the eight IPS branches throughout the country.
